My professional activities extend beyond the University classroom. It includes presentations in public schools throughout Connecticut, including gallery talks, workshops, and presentations at visiting artist programs.

Since my college days at The university of North Texas I have worked extensively either as an Artist-in-Residence or as a
Visiting Artist in a variety of urban, suburban, and rural schools.
Visiting artist programs usually are designed to meet the schools needs but are always involving clay. Sometimes they deal with a single visit for an artist talk and demonstration and other times they deal with multiple visits that involve interdisciplinary or multicultural themes. My workshops can vary in focus and length and are normally worked out to suite interested groups or
individuals. Below are titles of workshops I have held in the past. For information on booking a workshop please contact me at garciav@ccsu.edu.
